Early Care and education

The Georgia Organics Farmer Champion program brings together local farmers and the food service community to increase sustainable and organic purchasing from Georgia producers. In partnership with Quality Care for Children (QCC), Georgia Organics expanded the Farmer Champion program in 2022 to recognize Early Care and Education (ECE) providers who go above and beyond to demonstrate their commitment to local procurement from Georgia farmers. We launched the pilot program with five ECE providers around the state.

Each ECE Farmer Champion candidate agreed to source and serve local food at least four times per month, and shared two months of receipts proving their purchases.

Georgia Organics and Quality Care for Children (QCC) celebrate these five Georgia ECE programs with the prestigious 2022 ECE Farmer Champion Award. They join some of Georgia’s best-known chefs and restaurants in being recognized for their commitment and support in growing Georgia’s local food movement.

• A Kid’s World Learning Center in Loganville, GA

• Greenbriar Children’s Center in Savannah, GA (two locations)

• Noah’s Landing for Kids Family Child Care Learning Home in Trenton, GA

• Pre-K Preparatory Learning Academy in Gainesville, GA

• The Learning Tree Academy in Toccoa, GA
